In these woods there is a raised platform that affords a nice view of the countryside. I believe that this is looking Eastish - I don't think that that is Zurich's lake - but I am very possibly wrong.

On the last day in Switzerland we climbed up into the woods on the hill behind Zurich.

The windows of the church in the background are the ones designed by Chagall.

This was a demonstration against the building of a new big international airport, I think.

We took the ferry from Geneva to Nyon. This was taken along the way. It is the North (Swiss) side.

Heading west now on the boat, having turned around. The sun is setting. These are the French Alps as I am now looking at the south shore.

Castle at Amseldingen (?) where we had lunch. I had the best srobet of my life there. It was clearly freshly homemade. The chocolate sorbet had soft chunks of almost fudge like choclate, the apple had little chunks of apple. It was delightful. The whole meal was excelent really and the setting was inspiring. I only wish it had been more clear to have a nicer view of the mountains.
